She carried two fat novels and a single pink rose
And she was going to a séance on Houndiscombe Road

But she thought the situation was completely absurd
Until she starting chatting with Richard III

Maybe a journey doesn’t need a destination
Maybe some thoughts should stay inside your head’

He wore a pink fedora and a chain on his watch
Among the Mutley dandies, well, he had no match
With his silk handkerchiefs and his silver tipped cane
One thing he wasn’t and that was mundane
‘Darling,’ he said, ‘clothes maketh the man’
‘And I’m stitched to my shadow just like Peter Pan.’
So imagine my shock, and I swear it’s the truth
To see him out early in a Kappa shell suit

She was reading porno on the twenty-to-eight
Because the Guardian called it literature and said it was great
‘I don’t usually read all this smut on the bus’
‘But wanted to find out exactly what was the fuss.’
She liked what she read and was duly inspired
But her husband could not give her that what she desired
Now she spends her time down in Union Street
She’s not really gaming, but she’ll give you a treat
